Blue Nile formed its first manufacturing outfit in 2006 under the name Blue Nile Wire Products Limited, manufacturing a wide range of wire products at Kikuyu under the brand name KIFARU.
The unit grew rapidly. In 2012, we embarked on a major diversification to manufacture hot rolled steel products under the name Blue Nile Rolling Mills Ltd. We also manufacture TMT bars branded KIFARU 500+ using Belgian technology.
Though each division is independently managed and run, they are at the same time governed by common policies and goals. In a few short years the manufacturing outfit has grown from strength to strength to become one of the leading commercial business houses in Kenya.
We believe in installing state-of-the-art technology and continually upgrading our machinery. This helps us produce high quality steel while maintaining the highest safety standards. All our products are KEBS approved.
